Congratulations to Principal Nelson Ruiz. Principal Ruiz was an honoree at the unveiling of the New 9/11 Memorial in Newark.

“It was a humbling and very emotional day, the unveiling of the New 9/11 Memorial for the 5 residents from Newark who lost their lives 15 years ago at the City Hall Memorial Garden, the opening of the Puerto Rico Day Parade, Flag Raising, and being commended by the North Ward Councilman, Anibal Ramos Jr. via the attached Resolution. Today, I was very proud to be recognized by the Mayor, Councilman, Senator and all of the community leaders present, with all of my family present. It was a day full of emotion, ranging from the 9/11 service in the am to the unveiling of the New 9/11 Memorial in Newark, hearing the losses from actual family members of Harry Ramos (& others today) to excitement at seeing our youth perform, sing and raise both the US Flag and PR flag in unity as we celebrate our great nation!”
