Run-A-Thon at Branch Brook Park
Oct 13, 2020

In response to these trying times, it is critical for teachers and administrators to think about how we can support the social, emotional, health, and well-being of our students, families, and staff members. It is part of our mission at 13th Avenue School to foster a welcoming school community where parents feel safe, especially during this crisis, and supported during virtual learning. As we continue to navigate through this health and economic crisis, we must show our support for each other and our children, so when we are eventually able to join together in person, we have positive mindsets and healthy relationships in place.
Our goal is to provide activities and experiences that give children and families an opportunity to relieve stress and anxiety during the COVID-19 crisis. Each Saturday will be intentionally planned to link schools, homes, and communities together as we support the social and emotional mental needs of our children and families.
Shout out to Ms. Gardner, Preschool Teacher, for executing and organizing our Run-A Thon. A job well done!
Families and students had a blast.
