Stand & Deliver: Communication Tools for Tomorrow’s Leader

“Stand & Deliver was founded in 1999 by the Caucus Educational Corporation to teach young adults to communicate clearly and with passion.Stand & Deliver believes that by building a young adult’s ability to communicate effectively, it strengthens self-esteem, confidence, and leadership development. Stand & Deliver workshops provide urban youth the necessary skills to fully participate in the workforce, lead and facilitate change and document important civic issues.”

Weequahic’s Group Project performance at Night of Eloquence 2016: “Have a Voice-VOTE”

Weequahic’s Stand and Deliver group conducted their Service Project on April 19, 2016. This year, the group decided to run a Voter Registration Drive, as the Presidential elections have become a hot topic as of lately. Student members decided that this would be a good fit as they felt that “the youth vote is often taken for granted and young people need to feel that their voice counts for something”. The Voter Registration drive was conducted during student lunches and focused on registering students who would be turning 18 before November’s election.
