Philosophy

The goal for Dayton Elementary at Peshine Avenue School is to develop positive self-discipline in our scholars and teach our scholars to take responsibility for their actions. We will work to create and maintain an orderly and safe school that promotes individual and group achievement and emotional physical well-being of our scholars. We will develop partnerships with parents and guardians to foster the emotional and academic development of our children.  Please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher if there is a concern. If the concern cannot be resolved at that level, feel free to contact the social worker or principal and we will work together to solve the problem. Additionally, we will make every attempt to ensure you are informed of your scholar’s progress.  Conferences, webpages, teacher notes, phone calls, emails, weekly progress reports, and report cards are some of the methods we will use.  In order to maintain a positive school culture, scholars are expected on a daily basis to:

  1. Show Respect
  2. Contribute Positively
