NPS Enrollment Fair Connects More Than 1,000 Families to School Registration For the 2018-2019 School Year

[Newark, NJ – December 13, 2017] The 2017 Newark Public Schools Enrollment Fair, featuring 64 public and charter schools, attracted more than 1,200 people on Saturday, December 4. The Newark Enrolls portal, which opened on December 9, will continue until February 16. Parents and students can apply for the school of their choice until that time by visiting www.newarkenrolls.org where you will find a detailed School Guidebook containing useful information about school enrollment.

The Enrollment Fair is primarily for students in the last grade in their current school, enrolling in a school for the first time, or who want to enroll in a new school that best fits their needs. Students who plan to remain at their current school do not need to apply.

The Fair allowed parents and students to explore school options, complete the application and ask questions of principals, administrators, teachers and other school representatives. The fun filled day also included family fun; including band performances and face painting, raffles, pizza and more.

In addition to Saturday’s fair, there will be a High School Enrollment Fair on Thursday, January 11 at 6 p.m. The fair will be held at Bard Early College High School, located at 321 Bergen Street, Newark. “High School Night” will include presentations, demonstrations and conversations for parents and students to learn more from participating high schools, speak with school staff and experience personalized question and answer sessions.
