More than 150 women who are parents and caregivers of NBOE students attended the Women’s Wellness Summit this week. The Summit was a partnership between the Newark Board of Education and University Hospital, Rutgers Medical School.
Thank you to NBOE Chairperson Josephine C. Garcia, Board Member Asia J. Norton, Council President Crump, and Councilwoman McIver who attended the event. Superintendent Roger León addressed the audience, speaking about his mother, raising the family as a parent of NBOE students.
