Building on efforts already in place to keep students safe in Newark’s South Ward, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, Newark Public Schools Superintendent Christopher Cerf and Newark Chief Education Officer Antoinette Richardson kicked off the community’s Safe Student Project at a press conference today at Malcolm X Shabazz High School in the city’s South Ward.
