Facilities Management

The Office of Facilities Management monitors all physical plant operations and oversees capital projects to ensure the safety and well being of the district’s students and school community utilizing more than 79 buildings across the City of Newark’s five wards. Recently, the Office has worked closely with the New Jersey School Development Authority on the openings of the new Central High School, Park Elementary School and Speedway School. In addition, we constructed the new Weequahic Gymnasium and the School Stadium Athletic Complex and a major solar energy initiative.
