Crystal Fonseca is a Newark resident where she lives with her husband, grandfather, uncle, her grandparents’ adopted children, and her cousin. When her grandmother passed away in 2003 while Crystal was attending college, Crystal decided to take the responsibility, along with her grandfather, to help raise his adopted children, who are all currently enrolled in college and preparing for their successful adulthood.
In her professional career, she serves as the Executive Assistant to the Director of Public Works for the City of Jersey City, where she has been employed for over 13 years. Prior to beginning her professional career, she attended Saint Peter’s University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Sociology. She then began to pursue her Master’s Degree in Urban Affairs and Education at Hunter College and is planning to complete her Masters at Rutgers University.
Her main focus and goals are always to give the best in service to adults and children. For that reason, she has made it part of her life to interact with schools, community groups, churches, and families. In her personal time, she makes her family a priority and serves as a mentor to the youth at her church. It is important for her to help the younger generation and make them aware of their importance and how they should strive to pursue the best future in school and their professional careers. She dedicates her life to always invest and help others.
