With over 17 years of experience in Public School Education in the Newark Public Schools  District, I have established myself as an Educational Leader, Innovator, Student Support Specialist, and Professional Development Trainer. My active engagement in school district initiatives and community -based ‘green projects’ have afforded me opportunities to promote extended learning experiences for educators as well as students.  My exposure to trending strategies in curricular instruction have a noted track record for positively influencing growth outcomes in student academic achievement in English Language Arts and in student civic engagement in partnerships with non-profit organizations such as The Trust for the Public Land and the Great Swamp Watershed Education Center of New Jersey.

My undergraduate degree is from Ramapo College of New Jersey where I graduated with distinction with a degree in Writing and Television Production.  I possess production credits for my work on the independent film, “ BrotherMen “ ( PBS 2001) and “ Miss Betty’s Glamorama” ( GStyle Productions (2011) , and my literary work: “ Azure Angel Reigns” can be found on Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, and Xlibris Publishing.  

I am a member of several professional organizations such as: EdCamp Newark Leadership, 2017-present, NJAMLE ( New Jersey Association of Middle Level Educators ), 2016-Present, Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society, and Phi Delta Kappa, Inc Delta Pi Chapter (2001). My professional mantra follows this simple precept: “ Lead in a manner in which others will want to follow; have a work ethic that is authentic and fruitful.
